<p>I went for my sleep-specialist appointment at <a href="https://www.nhs.uk/services/hospital/sulis-hospital-bath/F6P2R">Sulis hospital</a>, and we went through a questionnaire, had height and weight measured, blood test taken, and they looked at my throat and jaw and then gave me this bit of equipment for a home sleep study:</p> <p><img alt="Sleep Monitoring Equipment" src="https://www.tlocke.org.uk/2026/images/equipment.jpg"> </p> <p>It's a single-use device that fits on the wrist like a watch and has a sensor for the finger, and a sensor that fits below the 'sternal notch'. You install an app on your phone and the app collects the data via Bluetooth and uploads it to the cloud.</p> <p>I did that on Friday night, and hopefully I'll hear back before too long. On thing that happened is that my phone automatically restarted in the night, which closed the app. In the morning I restarted the app, and hopefully it synced up with the device without losing data.</p> <p>I'll let you know what they say.</p>
